We’ll help you bring your existing aircraft into Wingbase and set up the information your team needs to manage them. During onboarding, we’ll provide an Aircraft Import Template to help organise this information. If you already have your fleet or maintenance information in another spreadsheet or system, you can provide that instead and we’ll review it with you.

Aircraft profiles

We can set up the main information for each aircraft in your fleet, including:
  • Registration
  • Make and model
  • Year
  • Current Tach or Hobbs time
  • Status
  • Notes
Current aircraft hours are important where they are used to track upcoming maintenance.

Defects

Existing aircraft defects can be brought into Wingbase so your team has a clear view of anything that is still open. Defects can be:
  • Open
  • Deferred
  • Resolved
When a defect is resolved, the resolution can be recorded so there is a history of what happened and when it was completed.

Maintenance tasks

Wingbase uses tasks to keep track of scheduled aircraft maintenance and other recurring requirements. Tasks can be used for things like:
  • 50-hour inspections
  • Annual inspections
  • Oil changes
  • Transponder checks
  • Other recurring maintenance
Depending on the requirement, a task can be tracked using aircraft hours or a calendar interval. For hour-based maintenance, Wingbase can track the task against Tach or Hobbs time. Calendar-based tasks can be tracked against their next due date. As aircraft hours increase or dates approach, Wingbase can help your team keep track of what is coming due. When a task is completed, the completion is recorded and the next requirement can be scheduled. This also creates a history of completed maintenance for the aircraft.

Aircraft documents

You can also bring your existing aircraft documents into Wingbase, including:
  • Certificate of registration
  • Certificate of airworthiness
  • Airworthiness review certificate (ARC)
  • Noise certificate
  • Radio licence
  • Insurance certificate
  • Other aircraft documents
Documents can include expiry information where relevant so Wingbase can help you keep track of upcoming renewals. See Import your documents for more information about preparing aircraft documents.

Once you’ve shared your aircraft information with us, we’ll review it and get in touch if anything needs clarification. We’ll then import your aircraft and set up any existing defects and maintenance tasks so your fleet is ready for you to review before going live.
