Your school keeps important information in Wingbase, from student training and documents to aircraft, bookings and safety reports. We take looking after that information seriously. Your school’s information is kept in the UK, access is controlled, and separate backups are maintained in case something goes wrong.

Your school has its own account

Every school has its own Wingbase account. Team members and students sign in individually, and what they can see depends on the access they have been given. Students only see their own information and anything the school has chosen to share with them. Team members see the information they need for their role, while admin access stays with the people your school chooses. Your school’s information is kept separate from other schools using Wingbase.

Your data stays in the UK

Your main Wingbase data and uploaded files are stored in London. This includes information such as student training records, aircraft, bookings, safety reports and documents. We have chosen UK hosting deliberately so the main copy of your school’s information stays in the UK.

Your information is protected

Your information is protected while it is stored and while it travels between Wingbase and your device. Access behind the scenes is limited to what is needed to keep Wingbase running. Your team does not share one Wingbase login. Each person has their own account, helping your school stay in control of who has access.

We keep separate daily backups

We don’t rely on a single copy of your school information. The Wingbase database is backed up automatically every day. We also keep a separate daily copy in another secure location in London. Uploaded documents and images are backed up separately as well. This means that if something goes wrong with Wingbase, we still have a separate copy to recover from.

If something goes wrong

Backups are there for the moments when something does not go to plan. Our separate database backups are automatically checked when they are created. Previous backups and versions of files are also kept for a period of time, helping us recover from accidental deletion, replacement or other problems. These backups are kept separately from the main Wingbase service.

Your data remains yours

The information your school keeps in Wingbase belongs to your school. If you decide to leave Wingbase, we can provide your school data in a usable format so you can keep your records or move them elsewhere. We want schools to stay with Wingbase because it works for them, not because their data is difficult to take with them.
