You don’t need to have everything perfectly organised before you start. If you already have spreadsheets or exports from your current system, you can provide them in their existing format. For information that isn’t already available in a suitable format, you can use our import templates.

Start with what you already have

Most schools already have useful data in spreadsheets, exports or another management system. You can provide these as they are. There’s no need to manually copy everything into a Wingbase template before we’ve reviewed it. We’ll take a look at what you have and let you know if anything needs to be reorganised or added.

Use the import templates where needed

Wingbase provides import templates for the main areas of your school. When using a template:
  • Keep the existing columns and worksheet tabs
  • Use one row for each entry
  • Leave fields blank if the information isn’t available or doesn’t apply
  • Remove any example rows before sending the file
  • Add a note or contact us if you’re unsure about anything
You don’t need to complete every optional field.

Include your documents

You can also provide the documents you want to bring into Wingbase, including:
  • School documents
  • Aircraft documents
  • Student documents
Clear filenames and folders make things easier, but don’t worry if your existing documents aren’t perfectly organised. We can review them with you.

You can send your data in stages

You don’t need to wait until every spreadsheet and document is ready. Once the main information is available, send it to us and we can start reviewing it. You can continue adding anything that’s missing while we prepare your migration.

What happens next?

Once we receive your data, we’ll review it and get in touch if anything is missing or unclear. We’ll then prepare the import and set up your Wingbase account for you to review before you start using it.
