We’ll help you bring your existing students into Wingbase so their profiles, courses and current progress are ready when your school goes live. During onboarding, we’ll provide a Students Import Template to help organise this information. If you already have your student information in another spreadsheet or system, you can provide that instead and we’ll review it with you.

Student profiles

We can bring across information such as:
  • Name and contact details
  • Date of birth and gender
  • Address
  • Emergency contact
  • Student Portal access
  • Aircraft hire access
  • Notes
You don’t need to have everything available. We can start with the information you already have.

Student lists

Student lists help you organise students into groups that are useful for the day-to-day operation of your school. For example, you might use lists for:
  • Aircraft hirers
  • Club members
  • Hour builders
  • Different student groups
  • Other operational groups
A student can belong to more than one list, and you don’t need to use lists if they aren’t useful for your school.

Course enrolments

We can assign students to the courses they’re currently taking so their training is connected to the course structure you’ve set up in Wingbase. A student can be enrolled on more than one course where needed.

Previous training

Students who are already part way through a course don’t need to start again in Wingbase. We can bring across a starting point for their existing progress, including:
  • Previous dual time
  • Previous solo time
  • Last exercise reached
Previous dual and solo time count towards the student’s course experience in Wingbase. The last exercise reached can be used to establish where a student has progressed to, with the exercises leading up to that point marked as previously covered. This works best for courses that are generally completed in sequence. If your school follows a less linear training structure, we’ll review the existing progress with you and agree on the best approach.

Completed exams

We can also bring across exams students have already completed. These are connected to the relevant student and course so their existing exam progress is available when you start using Wingbase.

Keeping progress up to date

Students may continue training while your Wingbase account is being prepared, so progress provided at the beginning of the migration can change before you go live. We’ll agree a cut-off point with you and make sure the latest previous training information is reflected in Wingbase before you start using it. If only a small number of students have changed during the migration, their progress can also be updated directly in Wingbase before you go live. This gives each student an accurate starting point without needing to recreate every previous lesson.

Student documents

Student documents can also be brought across, including medical certificates, licences and other files you already hold. See Import your documents for more information.

What happens next?

Once you’ve shared your student information with us, we’ll review it and get in touch if anything needs clarification. We’ll then bring across your students, course enrolments and agreed starting progress so you can review everything before going live.
