If you already have bookings scheduled in another system, we can help you bring them into Wingbase so your team doesn’t need to recreate the schedule before going live. During onboarding, we’ll provide a Bookings Import Template to help organise this information. If you can export bookings from your current system, you can provide that instead and we’ll review it with you. You don’t need to bring across existing bookings if you’d prefer to start building your Wingbase schedule from your go-live date.

Multi-day bookings

Most bookings take place within a single day, but Wingbase also supports activities that run across several days. Aircraft Hire and Maintenance can have separate start and end dates, making it possible to bring across overnight aircraft hires or longer maintenance periods.

Previous bookings

If you’d like to keep previous booking history in Wingbase, we can review what’s available from your current system and what would be useful to bring across. For completed training activities such as Flight Lessons, Ground Lessons and Simulator Lessons, a booking can contain more than the original date and time. Depending on the information available, we can also look at bringing across:
  • Lesson outcome
  • Instructor feedback
  • Training exercises
  • Performance
  • Course tasks
  • Training experience
  • Flight log information where flying was involved
This information needs to be connected to the student’s course and training structure in Wingbase, so bringing across full historical training can take more preparation than importing the schedule alone.

Starting with current progress

For most migrations, we recommend bringing students across with their current training progress rather than recreating every previous lesson. We can use previous dual time, previous solo time, the last exercise reached and completed exams to give each student an accurate starting point in Wingbase. This is usually a simpler way to get student progress ready for go-live while still allowing new lessons to be recorded in full from that point onwards. If keeping detailed historical lessons is important to your school, we can review what’s available and agree what should be brought across.

Once you’ve shared the bookings you’d like to bring across, we’ll review them and get in touch if anything needs clarification. We’ll then prepare the agreed bookings so your schedule and any agreed history are ready for you to review before going live.
